Think is going to be close with MB. C3 was the weakest compound for the SF 24 during testing so we'll see.

Three tenths off on softs would be a VERY good result.

I think so. I think telemetry shows Red Bull and Ferrari ran with less power than Merc and the sims were quite similar either way. Should be close though

Charles deg looks really good on softs. 3-4 tenths to Max is what was predicted so can't be upset. Should be even better on the hards.

Either Cardile and Tondi built a brick or Ferrari was really conservative with engine modes today.

We would’ve seen it in testing in s3 if it was a brick. It’s probably not a missile that was the SF23, but it’s not a brick either.

Yeah driver comments don't really inspire confidence(specially leclerc who feels more work on balance is needed). Anyone has telemetry data ?

From just watching onboard, the car is just a little too pointy right now. That's what Charles means by balance. In terms of telemetry, the data looks good, fast mid-corner speed and they are running quite low on power it seems.

Sainz was playing with energy during his race sim. In S1 he dropped from 31.1 range to 31.5-31.8 range in the middle of the stint, then did a 31.1 first sector near the end of the stint. First sector is just 2 straights so minimal deployment.

He does seem happy with the car though

Charles said during testing that top speed won't be as high as sf23

Yeah, it makes sense.

Personally i'm expecting Ferrari and Mercedes to be quite close. Hopefully Bahrain won't be SF 24 best track :D
