AM looking good in 'Sector 2'; that's the highlight for me.

damn sending him out a little earlier. could have snuck a P3 if he set his lap later. but the field is very condensed

Alonso made a mistake in the last turn coming down the start finish straight. Lost the rear end a bit out of that cur ve . Certainly cost him a tenth, tenth and half. He could have been on the podium.

I dont get the negativety here from some users. Its a non works outfit(not as established as mcl). Yes last year couldve been a fluke but theyve understod and sustained the performace this year. Almost upto p3, and much lower delta to pole as last year. Mega job i would say. I just hope the overnight setup changes also help deg. That S2 was mega, the turn in into t11

Not like they're Alpine as someone said ! They're clearly in the mix.

They've also shown they're as good as Merc.

Great performance by Alonso! P4 in terms of theoretical best times - much better than I expected. Well done team!

Much better result than expected. Alonso almost got Sainz and Perez while both got good tow.

Not bad at all. With single new set alonso was already at disadvantage and max he lost one tenth in lap and track evolution as well. I think has decent shot at podium tomorrow with car in alonso's hand
