Don't be childish. I made that comment based on the knowledge available to us back then.
No, it wasn't based on common knowledge, it was your opinion which was wrong.
Maybe not. 🙄
I guess we both were right and wrong at the same time. Damn, this race pace was hideous

how a car who was 3 tenths of pole, finished 1.20 second behind the winner ! How ?!!!!!
It was 1:14..... just watch the race.....

To be fair, no other team(only Sainz), finished within 30 seconds of Max.

Their long run pace looked worse than it was cause they gave up lap time to put themselves in a good safety car window.

Doesnt matter 1.20 or 1.14 its same man, max was even not pushing after his fastest lap so, very worried about this Aston !

There are a lot of questions about whether Aston can become faster by unlocking away the full potential (if not the limit) from this concept and the rear suspension

Well, I'm not gonna say they don't have challenges in the long run pace. If they had stopped 4 laps sooner on the first stint and 4 laps soon on the 2nd, their pace overall would have been faster. Maybe finished the race less than 5 seconds behind Piastri.

be smart man, they choosed this strategy for a safety car, its why Fernando was always pitting 10 laps after,

It's doesn't really matter, even if come safety car, still couldn't finish on podium. I didn't know last year lap times, but they just was very very slow on hards.

Lets hope they can solve the race pace for next weekend, because Briatore said he is "working". I wouldnt want him to leave this team
Mercedes is better for him man
After Mclaren last year and so on anything is possible to be honest, this car could have a lot of potential (or not)... what is clear is that any other replacement for Alonso will be a step below absolutely so Aston really need to keep him at all costs, it all depends on how they react to this poor start

AMR went backwards a lot, very sad for Alonso. Can't help but feel this will be the final season, de la Rosa already hinted at it...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Let's be clear, the Aston was slow on all tyres. The strategy is due to the safety car, because if they followed the others they finished closer but still ninth. Would this Mercedes be the solution for you? Which came fifth... The truth is that the only good solution for 2025 would be Redbull, so forget everything else. It's clear that Aston Martin is the worst team of these 5, but how much could this change? Let's see the next grand prix, but I thought I was seeing amr23 post Canada again. I don't know what to say, believe me, in my opinion Alonso is thinking about retiring

Well, 2024 is like the end of 2023

Aston is 5th so they will only make P9-10 and let’s say P5-6 when lucky

Not a surprise this is logic now that others have stopped their wrong concept

This also means that now ALO will try to join Mercedes

There are no reasons to continue and fight for P9 for him

So he will try Mercedes or retire that make sense.

Yes Alonso has said in interviews that the both the guys ahead and behind were far away so the strategy was on purpose suboptimal in order to catch a safety car but didnt work.
