Yeah Charles, simply fix the issue yourself before the race. And if you can't do that, magically fix it by thinking about it in the cockpit. Either way, you should have been faster than your teammate because a left front that is constantly teetering between working and not working definitely won't hurt your pace. Christ, the media is just clueless...

Lmao. Seemed like a conspiracy yesterday but it’s true actually.
It kills me that they imply that Leclerc should have done something to either prevent the issue or be as fast as the others with it.
He clearly should have fixed the issue mid lap, maybe blow harder towards the brake with his mouth. Rookie mistake.
Sainz would have fixed the issue himself in the first pitstop obviously, outclassed yet again

Anyways, on to Jeddah now. Thankfully, we should be quite good here considering the performance in S2 and S3.

The issue Leclerc had made the RedBull look better than they were. It was a massive compromise, probably worth half a second per lap at least in the first 15 laps. Having to start braking 3 meters earlier and still locking up sounds like a major inconvenience for the driver.

Sainz managed to reduce the gap to RedBull to half from last year (+48 sec) to this year (+25 sec). That’s an impressive improvement on a track which in my opinion does not suit the SF-24. In Jeddah the gap to RedBull will be less.

Last but not least we’ve talked about race execution right before the race. In case of Charles it sadly was a miserable execution because of an unacceptable mistake which happened already before the race. And again it was on Leclerc’s side of the garage. These avoidable things need to stop as soon as possible.

Happy with the pace of the car, and overall I have confidence in Vasseur

Regarding drivers I will have some hate but… I think they should have kept SAI and LEC

Of course you cannot lose opportunity to have a seven time champion but in terms of pressure and team peace I’m not convinced.

Anyway, almost a great first race except for LEC brakes but this car seem to have a good potential to grab many wins and try to catch up RBR

Even if the title is already over

F1 is one of the worst sports in regards to biased commentators not knowing a single thing. I bet you at least 50 users on here would be 1000x better sharing their opinions than these fools, having claims with real evidence and substance.

8 consecutive sessions that Leclerc is ahead of Sainz in qualifying.

Incredible considering how quick Carlos is, especially over one lap despite the media absolutely not highlighting this.

There's nothing in those quotes that warrant some of the reactions here IMO.

Some fans are very sensitive about “their” driver.

What made the sky f1 interview the worst, was the line of thought that somehow Sainz won because he can outthink leclerc and adapt to the conditions better. I mean I don’t really see how leclerc was a. Supposed to predict he was going to have a brake imbalance and be able to immediately amend his driving to suit. B. Think differently to avoid the car from suffering from mechanical issues.

Just absurd.

On another tangent
Has anyone got any telemetry of Jeddah 2022 and 2023 comparison? Trying to determine which will be the strongest sectors.

I guess it was worth around half a second per lap, maybe even more The onboards look terrible.

The most improvement will be seen in the first sector, the least in the third.
