I'm pretty sure that if Binotto wanted a job in F1, he'd have one. After the split with Ferrari, Aston said they wanted him, so did Alpine.

As far as Alpine's management problems, we're not gonna resolve those from here.

I'm pretty convinced that this kind of change in an organisation, without a good recruitment coming from a top team such as Binotto or Elliott won't be enough...

They need the input of an experienced people to know their weaknesses, and where they can found performances, what they need to improve, the required equipments and people they need etc...

What you think about it guys ?
I can tell you that Binotto is not a good leader.
Not a good leader; has 25 year career in one of the most cutthroat organizations in sports leading various teams with success.

If he or Elliott want a job there, they’d be signed up immediately.

According to reports, Binotto didn't trust anyone after getting promoted to TP. He was scared to delegate, he kept his position as Technical Director due to his insane ego which was a colossal mistake and this resulted in some of the worst Ferrari F1 cars in recent history, especially considering pre-season expectations. Binotto surname within Ferrari was "Pharaoh"

Absolutely useless politically, he was also directly involved in the FIA - Ferrari engine scandal. Moreover, he was also incapable of managing Vettel and Leclerc as drivers, with some of the most embarrassing scenes ever seen in motorsport.

End result? Fired for total and complete incompetence. No one wanted to hire him, and now he is a consultant out of F1.

Bonus: he was consistently mocked by local italian comedians:

After working at Ferrari for 25 years, he saw what happened to the TDs, it's why he kept stuff to himself. The 2022 car was the only car to win races aside from RBR and it finished second in constructors. Guess Ferrari is terrible company, it took them 25 years, and only after promoting the guy to the top job, to figure out he was incompetent. He must have had the worst reviews at every job he worked at to get promoted.

Get you head out of your @ss and stop reading the BS stories. Fact is guys don't rise through the ranks at Ferrari if they're not excellent. Again Aston and Alpine both offered him jobs.

An entire wall of rumor mongering and nonsense.

Again, no one spends 25 years at Ferrari and reaches the top level of the team as an engineer without leadership abilities.

Such is life at Ferrari.

But enough Binotto/Ferrari talk.

Back to Alpine.

The car being overweight is apparently because it failed the crash test after simulations showed it would be ok.

Is there anywhere with more details on that, we hear a lot about CFD real world correlation in F1 but never FEA to real world correlation.

I assume they use abaqus explicit for this type of thing?

By the way Phillippe Krief is a « ghost »
You don’t see him nowhere neither in F1 or road car, kinda strange

A big change compare to the arrogant Rossi

Not a single rumour, all facts. To add on, his TP period at Ferrari has seen the biggest fall in strategy and operations quality in Ferrari in the last 30+ years. The reason he wasn't given an offer he can't refuse in any other team is Ferrari making small, but clear improvements in all fields in the second half of 2023 under Vasseur. So the definitive reason behind Ferrari's 2020-2023 failures definitely wasn't "Ferrari is being Ferrari," it was Binotto's incompetence and arrogance in many small areas leading to massive fails overall.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
