Aston Martin says otherwise... his runs don't look good. He got into the 1:35s at the end of the stint meanwhile Charles and Max were doing 1:33:9 and 1:33:7 respectively.

Think amr have a Deg problem this year. Quick on one lap but degrades tyres and has understeer. They built their own sf23

he's pressing "GO 1" twice. GO1 is aston's equivalent of merc's "strat 2" = quali mode. So they used quali mode already. Verstappen also said in an interview some people already turned up their engines, while they havent, same as bahrain.
Some nice slipstream as well in the beginning.

Merc is very strong on the straights with their modified rear wing from last year.

Where were they losing 0,3 on the last sector (which is basically two big straights) then??

Who said they were losing 3 tenths in the final sector? Both Max and George did a 28,6s S3 on their fastest laps.

During FP1 that was! The Red Bulls were constantly gaining around 0,3 in sector 3!
