Toto Wolff has just opened the door for Marko to go to Merc if he wants.

Marko, Max etc all go to Merc ?
Seriously cant see Max going to Mercedes when they have such a dog of a car. A driver is there to win races, if they dont win races, then there is little to gain. Max even said himself when he stops winning he will leave F1.
Formula will be more dominated by power unit differential for a few years after 2026. And he values loyalty very highly.

What happens if it's RBPT that gets ahead? A wise choice for any driver in Max's position, is to get his 5th title in 2025 and then see how 2026 goes, then choose where he wants to go. We have to see if emotions could get the better of him.

Quote from Toto?

Only question is timing. The move is obviously not possible mid-season, but for next year, or 2026?

No exact quote yet but reliable person who is German speaker translates as:

Toto was asked by Sky Germany whether it‘s true that Max has a clause to leave RB if Marko leaves and he said they don't have a "mascot" anymore and even though Marko doesn‘t have a red cap [Niki], he can come to them.

Well, it's only smart from Toto to offer. It should not be underestimated what a generational driver can do for a team.

Helmut Marko told the Austrian ORF on Friday that the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix would possibly be his last race in office and that a suspension may be hanging over his head.

Max Verstappen shows clear loyalty in the matter to Helmut Marko, the man who made him sign his first Formula One contract in 2014. "I have a lot of respect for Helmut Marko. We have achieved a lot together and my loyalty to him is very great. It is important that he stays. For me and for the decisions I make, also in the future. If an important mainstay within the team goes away, it's not good for me. So Helmut should definitely stay. He built this team together with Dietrich Mateschitz and he deserves all the respect for that. This is about loyalty and integrity," Verstappen said.

If his dad is urging him to go too then that would be both father figures in his life guiding him away from Red Bull.

Newey is also 65 now, how much longer will he want to go on working? Perhaps he could be coaxed elsewhere for one final era with either Merc or Ferrari, in a special adviser role to give him freedom to pursue other projects and without ruffling feathers in the existing teams. Will Newey want another stint at a team with an engine deficit, if that's where Red Bull end up in 2026?

It does seem like a real possibility for them both to make a move away from Red Bull in the coming weeks.

The employee involved, who brought the allegations of “cross-border behavior” against Horner, is now seeking legal action in a civil lawsuit. “Anything that leads to a quick result is more than desirable,” said Marko about this development.
So the victim is filing the lawsuit, and Marko has welcomed it...

There's another interview with Max where he say that with Mateschitz Marko built Red Bull and that should be respected, that he should stay, and that Max will have a very big problem if Marko goes.

Really does seem like Max will follow Marko out the door if Horner continues down this path.

Max Verstappen crystal clear: “I cannot continue without Helmut Marko... Unworkable situation if Helmut had to leave.”

Well atleast we can be entertained by this when the track stuff is boring as hell.

Horner's in the position that he cannot back down in this now that he's pulled the trigger. Looks like this is really happening, and Marko and Max will be making their way to Mercedes next year. The only question is if Newey will be joining them, staying at Red Bull, or calling time on his career.
