Car has opposite characteristics to last year's car in terms of track suitability, it will be better of fast corner tracks. Straigts seem to be an issue now.

You guys can say what just want, but 2023 Aston (amazing car) Q3 time was 1:28.730 now 1:27.846. Is almost 1s faster this year.Last year Pole was 1:28.265. Aston made bigger step than redbull....
I am very happy with the team's progress since Fernando arrived. What a change, compared to Renault. It is something that must be remembered.

Last year they were lost during the development of the season. They could have done better but absolute perfection is not easy.

Everything they have done over the last 2 years or so seems spectacular to me. I think they really want to make a good F1 team. But this, like absolute perfection, takes time.

I'd be happy to see steady progress, with some ups and downs quickly resolved, throughout the season. And stay as high as possible both in qualification and later in the races.

Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

if you put today's alonso against all younger Fernando's, only 2012 Alonso would be better

Completely agree. I just hope that Flavio and Alonso are not impatient and give them a couple years more.

Looks like they did some setup changes to improve the long runs, I’m optimistic for the race.

I really don't see Alonso messed up anything in third sector like that guy said .

Here's Fernando's 3 fastest laps and Lance's lap from Q1. There's no mistake.

Taken from Autosport forums
Krack saying on Sky Germany right now that yesterday in the longrun the problem started when they ran up to Magnussen. Overtaking is difficult here with these cars (he says) and so they had to slow down. This episode somehow did something to the tyres and they were dead - after letting KMag go, they never got up to speed again. They haven't really understood this and will have to be very careful in the race with this

Look at this turn 16, literally on the verge of touching the wall. Amazing ! Other corners we very good too.

I agree.
This 2024 Aston is a BEAST in qualy, two races and each time quite close to P2

Let’s hope they can improve race because indeed it seems like an SF23 for now!

Thing is last year Ferrari fixed that mid season and finished to win a race, so there is hope, 24 races this year, and maybe we will have a « reverse 2023 » with podiums and podiums during the last 10 races

That guy is a coward, the lap was perfect, so 4 in the grid is more than expected !

Without Alonso the team would look like a low mid field side.

They need to replace stroll and find some one faster who can push Alonso and grow together. But none of the drivers available for next year on the grid would be able to compete with Alonso unfortunately.

Good qualifying performance btw
