Will miss Marko dearly! We will not hear some plain truth about the performance comparisons between teams anymore, which otherwise we never hear from Red Bull.
Indeed he is a nice contrast to the usual very tight lipped paddock

Marko is in his 80s, got dragged over the coals last year regarding his unsavory comments about Perez.

Nobody defended him then, or said he was integral to Red Bull success. And rightly so.

It's not difficult to imagine that Horner would find support from the Mexicans as well as Thailand on this. After all, Checo does bring a nice sponsor with him

I don't know what to make of this. One aspect I liked about VER was his complete lack of diplomacy, despite the media coaches provided by the team. Raw speaker.

But here, I can see some careful politician-like tightrope walking.
Even if Max is determined to leave I hardly imagine he wants to do so mid season, all the other seats are under contract. So being diplomatic outwardly and focusing on the racing is a smart move. If he announces a move he should do so after the season.
I think most would prefer to do things post-season given the choice but there is no team on the grid that wouldn't invalidate a contract to get the services of Verstappen. It depends on how serious the situation is, or if this is just some big game of telephone...

Doubt the top drivers have contracts which can just be voided mid season because some hot property comes on the market. He's not going to go to Haas is he...

Max Verstappen crystal clear: “I cannot continue without Helmut Marko.”

When a top advisor leaves it is clear; then Verstappen leaves Red Bull.

“Unworkable situation if Helmut had to leave.”

Wonder if Max would feel the same if Marko was found to have breached company regulations...

Instantly going from “Horner is getting fired” to “Marko is getting fired” clearly shows there has been a power struggle for a long time! Probably Marko tried to get Horner fired, he didn’t succeed and now Horner is apparently trying the same trick on Marko!

What a situation to be in for a team that just went through the biggest domination in f1 history and doesn’t seem to stop dominating any time soon…

I think you will be disappointed!
If Max goes to Mercedes, Marko is going too (Toto already welcomed him to replace Lauda) and Newey and Waché and Hannah and more. Mercedes than will have a great car and Max will win the WDC again.

Why on earth Max will go to MB? you saw any signs the last years that MB is anywhere near the car that he drives now? Max is not stupid no matter what he says for the matter. Its just politics to support Marko. Even Hamilton left them.

It seems it's all about the very very poor 26 RBPT PU and Max wants to make an excuse to leave and avoid paying penalties for contract breach/leaving before 2028. Still just speculation, but a lot of rumours going into the same direction.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Partly, I don’t think Max wants to leave, and if he wants to he can, he doesn’t need to force anything for that.

But (from the post before you) it is not now Marko under fire and before Horner, it was Horner even before that as Redbull,GmbH wanted to let him go. but Redbull Austria was overruled in wanting to let him go as Thailand now has veto and Horner has them on board.

I agree it likely is around the engine.

Horner wants RBPT to be totally independent. That is great for him, no other managers to deal with, boss in own house so to say.

But I think Redbull gmbh wanted Porsche, but that means 50% Porsche ownership, not what Horner wants. Suddenly executives of a big car company that will need to be appeased.

I think this, right now, is the last moment to switch to the Porsche engine. There is still time. But not much.

Max never speaks much but he did say he was very disappointed they do not continue with Honda.

And I know all the stories, I believed them too in the passed, but facts speak louder than words and Honda will not share the IP with RBPT and will stay in F1. So, no Honda, no Porsche, and likely a not fantastic RBPT engine. That will make newey want to leave too. He went through the Renault years just as max.

That is my take on the whole ordeal.
