Bull.
The cost cap makes things better. It is no more locking things in when each team spends 135 Meur, then when each top team spends 500 Meur, but the latter does lock other teams out.

Besides that, the only thing that was moderately exciting in worst of the MB seasons was the teammate battle, that had nothing to do with the cost cap as it was within one team.
I think the cost cap would have worked if Adrian Newey wasn't allowed to be working on a ground effect "development car" for 4 years before hand. Also maybe if the cfd/wind tunnel was limited even further for first place teams. Ferrari have made a step but they will not be able to develop the car to compete with RB20 this year
I agree that it was a mistake to release the design regs before the cost cap reg, yes, although other teams could have capitalised on that as well - it wumd benefit te richer teams as without the cost cap, they could still spend big on exploration. But yeah, similar things happened before the cap, too, with e.g. MB taking a massive engine lead in 2014.
Agreed. And Renault have never recovered which is quite sad

I don't agree. I still stand behind Norris doesn't like Hamilton and races him in a aggressive brazen fashion
In 2021 when Mercedes was faster on forum from my country people said Norris is not defending against Hamilton because they're both Brits, but against Max he's pushing to the limits. I guess it's just a perspective you think he's fighting harder your favorite driver and not fighting one you don't love.
Who's my favorite driver? Don't assume.

I'm basing this off of battles from the last 6 years
True! Same goes for Alonso…

Just look back at Mexico 2017! Hamilton was racing for the championship that day and the guy was racing him for 9th place as if he was the one racing for the championship…

On the race topic! So Norris can wave as much as he likes? No penalty for this clear breach?

Free to your opinion @dcchemtech as are we that this is more boring than other eras of domination.

Happy to see Oli do well.
Mcl so slow with drs, but Piastri couldn’t force Ham into a mistake, good experience.
Hope Tsu learns from those exchanges, but he probably played it right as Magnussen would have made contact.
Max and Perez just cruising.
Don’t get pulled back into the close quali or track is different narrative, no one is close.
Of course you are, boredom is subjective. Yet it is always interesting to see an MB fan (like the person I originally responded to) bicker and moan how this season is unwatchable, while the same applies for many others in the period 2014-2020, when this person seemed perfectly happy. If you are happy when your team dominates, don't complain its a disaster for the sport in general when another does.

Bearman, Ferrari´s junior driver, just beaten his star coleague who is said to the best driver ever, at least that´s what his fans say, on his very first race!

Not forgetting he started 3 places behind the guy who's getting that seat next year, and then finished 2 spaces ahead of him.....all with JUST 1 HOUR of practice to get to grips with the car.

ah, another race thread coming to "but look at mercedes domination", how long are you guys going to go back to that same old topic?
this is now, merc is history, same as ferrari in 2000s same as whoever else earlier,
RB is dominating, 2/2 races in 2024 were boring so far, noone cares what was boring 10 years ago anymore

Very very impressive from Bearman considering being thrust into the car on Saturday morning. Incredible job to drive so maturely and pull off some nice moves. His neck will feel sore for a few days I'm sure

Bearman ahead of LN and LH with one practice session in the car. Embarrassing they couldn't catch on new softs.

They're hypocritical like Mercedes during their dominance saying they have problems, Ferrari and Williams are threatening them, at least Max honestly say they are easily fastest.

He should have done a Stroll and crash his Ferrari early on. Would have finished the race pretty fresh, physically speaking :)

Seriously speaking, just shows how unfair from F1 to give seats to people like Lance and Sargeant considering there are much more capable drivers out there.
