Using Tifosi tears
Yeah, they get an FIA approval for a special tear-tank of variable volume, depending on recent results
Tifosi Directive 001/24 anyone?

Again?
yea they only had 1 vent, in Bahrain they were sometime testing 1 or 2 vents right? or maybe it's not hot in Melbourne..
My “again?” was actually a hypothetical question and I was addressing the part “up in flames again” from your post. :) When was the last time this happened? Spielberg 2022?

What’s the likely tyre strategy going to be for the race? Med - Hard with most teams completing 44 laps on the hard last year. LEC was still lapping extremely well on 24 lap mediums in FP2. I’m guessing most will start on mediums and stretch out the stint before switching to the hards.

Australia has been the scene of Charles most dominant win, so this strong showing and zero deg is adding a lot of Hopium (TM) for the weekend.

Something really feels different with Vasseur in charge, doesn't it? You can see that as soon as an issue is recognized, they'll work on a solution, even if that issue was something like running too conservative, and basically wasting potential, like Jeddah.

Now they're in Aus, testing an aggressive long run sim.

The race operations for the weekends just seem smarter than before.

This truly has become "i want to believe" weekend.
I'm not mocking i'm hopeful too, things looked good today.

Don't know if something changed in the way the team sets up the car or it's simple circuit adaptation but it was the best Friday so far.

Charles long run looked really promising. Set up is definitely more aggressive than previously and tyres still showing good deg performance. Here’s to hoping

They started this weekend better than RB, who have a good amount of time to find. No use having high expectations after FP2 :) Not even a Pole will guarantee a race win, as we well know
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

The more time goes on (especially after seeing MB performance in the first two races and in FP2), the more it's absolutely clear to me that the key to be competitive in this regulation cycle is having a stable platform working well in every condition (ride height etc.), even at the cost of (a lot) peak downforce. I specifically think the compromises are much different compared to the past in this area and Newey and his team were really the first trying to achieve this "concept", which paid off massively.

It seems that Ferrari got it right this year. Unfortunately, for many reasons, RB arrived there way earlier.

Absolutely correct, however as fans we can expect a P2 here, that’s the best I wish for as the target now,A gradual step every race with the bigger goal in mind for the season is all the best possible way to go, stay focused and keep working to achieve the final goal of winning.
Be methodical and build strength on the positives and every baby steps in the right direction will eventually produce results.

Car looks beautifully hooked up in S1 and the final two corners, lower speed mechanical grip very much a strength?

I know Max has some performance in his pocket that we will see tomorrow and Sunday but I actually think this looks a lot, lot closer this week.

Keep in mind guys that Australia is never really representative and that last year Sainz was only 0.2 slower than Max in the race.

100% agree, this doesn’t indicate the gap being closed to RB, only that POTENTIALLY a circuit that works better for the sf24

yea I noticed that I was looking at the f1 temp few hrs ago. But jock clear said that suzuka will be the real test for them. But man I just want someone to stop red bull/max from winning all the time. I don't care if it's ferrari or Mclaren, or merc, he is going for this 10 straight wins again and more is ridiculous. [-o<

Of course it is not, they are racing upside down after all
