Good for the race, hopefully Leclerc can overtake Norris on lap 1.
There could be a case for Lando to let him go and create a fight while "saving" his own car.

But but ferrari looks close! They might challenge! Bringing the fight!

…and that was quali…we know how race pace is.

I hope people start get feisty and we get some unpredictable SCs. I’m in it for the show at this point.
Sainz was on for pole, he made mistake in T10 that cost him 4 tenths.
Lol some people are hilarious
purple s3 was 32.338
Sainz did 32.529
Sainz first q3 run was 32.441

He lost 4 tenths....

I think Ferrari looks good this year, they are fast everywhere, raising the racing theme a little and it will be difficult for RB, today Sainz should take pole but a mistake is a mistake

It is what it is. Visibly there for all of us in the live stream. Max hooked the last sector when it mattered most, both Q3 runs. They worked toward that all weekend.

Carlos and Charles had the faster car in qualifying. Carlos made a mistake that cost almost 4 tentha. and Charles was not confident with the balance. But the Ferrari was a couple of tenths faster

Let's see how it translates into tomorrow - hopefully we'll get to see a proper race for the win. Red Bull had issues with graining in FP3, but on hards it may obviously be a different story.

Similar to Bahrain then where LEC had the fastest lap but not pole.

Its either the car being very tricky on the limit, or the drivers aren't able to extract the maximum when it counts the most, which is obviously very unusual for LEC.

Any reason given to the return of an obnoxious race start time? In recent years it was a lot more tolerable 7:00 around here. Now it's 5 like in the olden days.

.
It is because of the Daylight Saving Time in Melbourne. On the first Sunday in April clocks are put back one hour.
In Europe the clocks are put forward one hour on the last Sunday in March.
At the moment CET = 19:57h. Melbourne time = 05:57h

Clocks will also change in Europe next week, though, so normally it shouldn't make a difference?

But drivers complained about the low sun last year at the end of the race, so maybe that plays a part as well.

Yep, red flags, rain. Start at 07:00 here would mean a chance of it getting too dark there. Apparently last year they really feared that.

I am not going to watch it live. Under the weather myself.

So I’d appreciate it if nobody talks about the race until at least 10:00. Thank you.🙏

.
Tomorrow 3 PM in Melbourne is 5 AM in Europe because of not moving the clock.
In two weeks April 7 when it is in Melbourne 3 PM in is in Europe 7 AM because both countries moved the clock.

They discussed to start the race tomorrow at 4 PM so it would be 6 AM in Europe but because drivers complained about the low sun
last year at the end of the ( looong) race they wouldn't move it to 4 AM.
