Because of the "what if" factor. A good quali for him could have potentially put him just close enough to Perez to be a threat.

You mean for Leclerc, he made the suggestion to go onto the one stop, they considered it, and for once they listened.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:12See? It's much easier for the same strategists to look competent if the car has good tyre management.
Indeed. We need to improve quali, we can’t start that much behind.
did that happen over radio during the race?scuderiabrandon wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:16You mean for Leclerc, he made the suggestion to go onto the one stop, they considered it, and for once they listened.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:12See? Lecler did personal best lap on last lap with 27 laps old hard tyres. Well done. Carlos had good pace, same as RedBull in last stint.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:12See? It's much easier for the same strategists to look competent if the car has good tyre management.
No I was listening to the onboards.deadhead wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:18did that happen over radio during the race?scuderiabrandon wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:16You mean for Leclerc, he made the suggestion to go onto the one stop, they considered it, and for once they listened.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:12See? They executed Sainz's strategy equally as wellscuderiabrandon wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:16You mean for Leclerc, he made the suggestion to go onto the one stop, they considered it, and for once they listened.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:12See? That was a pretty straight forward one though, they usually are okay when it comes to vanilla strategies. When they need to be creative, it's start to become a bit shaky.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:22They executed Sainz's strategy equally as wellscuderiabrandon wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:16You mean for Leclerc, he made the suggestion to go onto the one stop, they considered it, and for once they listened.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:12See? I see it as a massive positive. Last year we started on pole or second most weekends, waiting for the inevitable slip down the order because there was no race pace in the car. On top of this we were only .4 secs off RBR and they’ve had their first upgrades. But that being said, .4 is still a significant gap to close. Charles first stint thoughXyz22 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:16Indeed. We need to improve quali, we can’t start that much behind.
Leclerc especially needs to get on top of it.
The race was really good but frustrating due to the bad performance yesterday
Probably even more if we didn’t have to battle with other cars, especially with Leclerc. The potential was even higher.CaribouBread wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 09:26Vasseur is working his magic, fantastic race result! Mille Grazie Maranello. We've cut the race deficit in more than half to Red Bull in 6 months!
