Total 6 slow/slow-medium turns => 0.5 sec per turn x 6 = 3 seconds.Vanja #66 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2024, 07:50"Dramatically" might even be an understatement

Most likely a bit of everything. It's quite possible teams will change the setup more than they imagined to try and offset the lack of grip on the track. Cars are 10-15kmh slower in slow corners, that's mostly down to poor track grip I imagine, so the poor surface must be the major thing...venkyhere wrote: ↑19 Apr 2024, 08:15Total 6 slow/slow-medium turns => 0.5 sec per turn x 6 = 3 seconds.
Is that track losing traction in 5 yrs or the new 18 inch wheels (larger unsprung mass is like being one gear up) or sheer weight of car increasing in 5 yrs or good old sandbagging ? one or many or all ?

At the moment all bets look to be off, the team that adapts the best will be the fastest, I imagine every team is very surprised at the state of the track...
Meeh tha painted grass caught fire and stripped the ´floor´ of grass....
A Ferrari, of course.
