Very happy with the result but a little concerned with performance in dry conditions. We usually show our hand in Q1/Q2 and have been in the top few positions in every qualifying so far pretty much this season, and then in Q3 drop off when others turn up their PUs, however, today in the first dry two sessions we really struggled. However, well done Fernando, he's a master in wet conditions, if he had some hot new tyres like Hamilton, we may have had first

I don't think that Q1 and Q2 (with medium tyres moreover) were representative for tomorrows Q. Not a typical session. With a much more rubbered track after the sprint things will look different I believe.

Didn't understand the tacting in Q3. Either I am one of the first cars or I wait in the garage with hot tyres. That was not very well executed.

MINISECTORS : FP1

STR : 1.36.30 - SOFT - 44,9 % of the lap
PIA : 1.36.63 - SOFT - 37,4 % of the lap
VER : 1.36.66 - SOFT - 17,6 % of the lap

ALO was on HARD - different program

ASTON : 324 km/h = +4km/h vs MERC

Both McLaren fastest in sector 1
STROL fastest in sector 2
REDBULL fastest in sector 3

With the WET and single laps on SPRINT QUALI we can't predict much but AMAZING job by Alonso finding the grip on those conditions

Mclaren much faster then what they predicted all week, very very close battle with Aston this week

Can't really analyze FP1, I'd rather look at the first two sessions of Sprint Qualifying. Given this year we have been better in qualifying, it's hard to see us compete with McLaren, but maybe with Merc again.

I didn't see Aston Martin performing particularly well in qualifying, at least not on the medium tires.

I think we will do better in dry.mclaren is slowest in straight line and carrying max downforce that helped in wet today as you see 1.3 seconds gap.mercedes is unknown but i guess alo will haul hamilton

It just bizarrely cut off after Norris to the cgi sky studio of all places. Exactly what people obviously wanted instead of the sprint podium interview :?

Alex was there and the other drivers had left (HAM, ALO) maybe there was no other umbrellas and they didn't want to stand in the rain any more ?
