Perez was lapping over a second faster per lap than Norris and Leclerc before the safety car and was just coming up behind Leclerc. He did get screwed by the safety car.
Wrong, with that one stop strategy that Maclaren had, Perez would have finished 20sec in front of Norris. He was lapping so much faster.
ok maybe i missed it. it looked like he was losing time after pit to norris as he had to overtake a few cars and norris was on 1 stop whereas as perez was on 2, so it wasnt certain he was on to finish 20s ahead of nor imo.
I think he cooked his tires too much behind Leclerc after the restart. Norris has him covered now.Juzh wrote: ↑21 Apr 2024, 10:24ok maybe i missed it. it looked like he was losing time after pit to norris as he had to overtake a few cars and norris was on 1 stop whereas as perez was on 2, so it wasnt certain he was on to finish 20s ahead of nor imo.
Anyway he's showing some pace now, maybe norris is within reach after all.
Norris also had a lockup, but is now increasing the gap..AR3-GP wrote: ↑21 Apr 2024, 10:30I think he cooked his tires too much behind Leclerc after the restart.
