Legit win even with the lucky safety car timing. Good win and hopefully Mclaren can stay competitive here on out.

In the race Verstappen had the same problems as in SQ. Unlike in hungary last year this time issues didnt sort themselves out. It'll be interesting to see if they can fix it for quali given that he said car was fine in FP1.
If they dont sort it out I predict first win for NOR.

This race was boring A F.

Top couple cars basically gav3eup racing after the first stops as their speed delta wasn't good enough to facilitate any overtaking. All the action was stops and safety car luck.

If you want good racing, watch motorcycle racing.

Indeed, but certain tracks just literally defy all any ability to race without huge speed deltas and this seems to be one of them.

It likely did. Happy for Lando, but Safety Car picking up the wrong car is completely unacceptable. From what i understand, Lando would have been P4 or P5 if Safety Car had picked him up as it should (unless he didn't pit, but why wouldn't he). They used to do it some seasons ago as well, and it's not the first time it's completely screwed up a race.

I'm been a stern defender of the FIA in the previous Season, because i think managing a race is harder than it looks, and many people give them too hard a time sometimes. But 2024 so far has been a disaster in terms of Stewards decisions and Race Control. It's incompetence compounded upon incompetence.
