Maybe they should remove the Acqua Minerale corner from the circuit layout, it would massively help Hamilton. Max also just made a mistake on it, just far less clumpsy

Max's S1 is absolutely obscene.
Easy 1-2 for Red Bulls once they get their setup in order.

It only appears that way because he ran much later than the others. Hence with more track evolution. And if they fix their problems in s2 that might affect their pace in s1.

Agree, they might get faster in s1 as well. Ernest Knoors was doing the viaplay FP1 commentary, very informative about the choices to be made on this track.

so far, Ferrari looks much better than Red Bull over the bumps and kerbs.

People were mentioning they "could see" a bit of the "SF-75 soul" in the updates, and that was one of the characteristics of that car, I remember Charles flying through the Variante Alta (until it went wrong).

I haven't started watching FP2 yet , but from what I could gather from FP1 was that Ferrari hit the ground running. Update seems to be a bang-up job and working out of the box. Car doesn't look 'disturbed' despite a lot of kerb riding the sausage kerbs of 14-15. Redbull struggling with understeer in 9 & 11-12, losing 1/2 a second just in these two places. That's mega. Something that they've done wrong which is making S1 and S3 purple, but turning the 9 and 11-12 into garbage. On balance, I think Ferrari will ace the quali, front row I expect.

Red Bull legitimately looks to be struggling. Ferrari looks really, really solid both in race sims and quali sim. The SF-24 looks like such a joy to drive compared the RB20 here, especially over the kerbs.

The Ferrari radios have been awfully quiet as well given how significant the upgrades were. Zero complaints about handling except for the Leclerc radio about the power steering feeling off. It sure looks like the upgrades are working as intended.

There was one with Zhou, another with Alpines and Mclarens. Just a bit sloppy than usual is all.
