Team was never going for glory runs. I expect whatever they choose will be to maximize the results (points).

My estimation is a fight for Pole between McLaren, Ferrari and Max. All within 0.3 and Mercedes + 0.4 to 0.5 from this .3
For Q1 maybe will be enough for Mcl boys to use only a set of soft. And to pay attention to some possible red flags, not to have an unpleasant surprise with some bad timing to go on track.

Out of curiosity. Didn't Ferrari brought a huge upgrade package here or did they brought only half of the upgrades?

Today will be very interesting. Norris was fast on this track in previous years but he did have some issues with track limits. It may be a problem today as well. Hopefully he can keep it on track as I think Piastri will be fast enough to challenge him if he makes any mistakes. And if that happens, Norris could end up pushing even more.

Strange choice for Ferrari with Mediums. Lando P1, all good, except last corner approach.

EDIT: McL - Thoughts on the lap?
Lando: Pretty average.

Double cool down to follow. So a lot of fuel in the car.

Lando's time was indeed a little average but he will try again. The car has much more pace if Alpine can manage those times.

Oscar deserves it if he manages pole.

Times though are still average considering the difference we should have with the soft compared to the Ferrari's medium.

If there really is a 6 tenths difference between mediums and softs (I doubt that, but they said that is the case) - Ferrari's will be mighty.
