Rubens did have a few more laps of fuel then Lewis before the last pitstop.
So even if McLaren didn't stuff up the last pitstop, Rubens would have come out infront of Lewis anyways, although it would be close.

Lewis says the team asked him to stay out for one more lap, but they asked him too late as he was already across the pit lane threshold. He lost between 4-7 seconds in the pit stop. It's hard to judge exactly how much.

Either way, it would have been very close and a very exciting final stint for both drivers. As it was, the gap was too large for Lewis to make up, but if the gap had started as 1 or 2 secs when Rubens came out of the pits ahead of Lewis, that would have been fun to watch.

I think it may just be the angle we are looking at it

The angle makes it look as if the flaps are connected to the camera box.
I've been thinking about this, you can actually connect the upper elements to the cameras on the nose and make a 2008-style bridge wing.

Looks a little different to me, has that triangular cut-out between the standard central section and main plane always been there? Jonathan Neal did say there would be new/revised low downforce wings for here, and even lower downforce ones for Monza.

Not that it really matters but the black striping is a new paint layout. I'm sure all the teams have "new" wings for these very different, high speed tracks of Spa and Monza.

True, but it will be interesting to see who brings new designs and who just takes elements off/reduces angles of attack.

looks a new front wing to me, quite simple-looking. may be useful for fast circuits with low downforce..... :?:

Looks like the old wing to me, the one that doesn't have the vents in the end plates. They seem to always line up the old wing outside the garages before practice just so photographer's get snaps of the sponsorship. Could be wrong though.

The vents are, indeed, still there. You must look closely.

From what i have seen, looks like they are using a rear wing they tested before the start of the season, with the increased/higher bow at the bottom. (at least Hamilton is)

Not sure though? Just notice it as i've got a pic of them testing it on my PC background and looks very similar

ps Heres what i mean

Think this was tested at Jerez....
