He can save tyres, I'm sceptical that they will last.

He was joking with his engineer that he is 5 seconds off his best pace. He is just staying back to manage temp/tires better. Not worth much here but it depends what Ferrari's deg will be later on.

Sainz certainly doesn't look worried about his tyres, cool laps followed by plenty of attacking Piastri.
