Massive Ferrari bailout by that SC. Not sure why 83 would be under investigation, it seemed the bmw misjudged the speed to me.

Still a long race and now toyota is definitely in it.
BMW misjudged the speed?

That's a drive through penalty for Kubica.

Also not really a bail out for Ferrari in my opinion. It only helps the 51 car. The 83 and the 50 car had a big lead. Over a minute to the 4th place Toyota. They got screwed.

I’m sure stewards will come down with a penalty then but the 50 Ferrari wasn’t 1 minute ahead, lost over 1 minute due to persisting on slicks on wet track just before, they were going to pit in a couple of laps, not a comfortable position, this brings them back close without having a pit offset. 51 was a lap down so big gain as you also note.

Well, after 17 hours the race has a fairly defined shape, excluding reliability, incidents and penalties, if track is wet in the last 2-3 hours Toyota will win, if it's dry in the last 2-3 it's possible Ferrari could win.

Ferrari doesn't seem setup for the rain, and I would love to figure how much the bop impacted the downforce choice here.

Big one for the 27 Aston. Inverted on track at Indianapolis. Driver OK but this is going to take some clearing up.

If car 51 gets a 5s penalty for that collision with 7, will car 8 get the same for the same collision on car 51?

This race... the last hour will gave us some surprise I feel

This #50 Ferrari has to do 51 minutes on fuel to not stop again. Usually on dry track you can only manage 40-45

49 minutes and 13 laps at 3:50 are 50 minutes. It's going to be so massively close, hopefully we don't get a SC now with that Ferrari on track.

It was 51:30 minutes (pit stop time)
This slow zone might save the #50

Maybe I read it wrong but I think they left the pits around 49m:10 give or take.

The commentator on french TV mentioned 51 minutes, but nevertheless this will be close and the #7 is 5 seconds a lap quicker atm

Lap time has gone up to 4m now, at least for 50. So that's less than 6.5 laps with 51% of the energy as I'm writing this... They will spit in the tank to make it finish if it doesn't go to the end.
