It would seem that they manage to keep it from flexing in the static tests, so in the race if it flexes it is not a problem according to the regulations. So good on them for managing to make it work in the race
Aston Martin never failed any test last year.
If I remember correctly, the issue with AMR23's front wing wasn't that it flexed. It was cause it literally changed shape. Think transformers.

The problem is that he flexed in the static tests, which was previously allowed (which is why he didn't fail tests) until the famous ban for everyone. This is the difference between flexing in the race and in the static tests.

In F1 you can't jump from mid field to the front just in 2 race, not even in half season. This only believe who just started to watch F1.

Is there even one sentence in the article about this "corrections in 2 races"? Can't find anything, just the headline.

mclaren have done it twice in 2 years haha. it seems like with these rules, the biggest gains come in a eureka moment. when a team suddenly understands how to read their data, then the gains come hard and fast. mercedes may have just figured out the puzzle. hopefully aston will follow really soon. if they dont some heads are probably going to roll sooner than later.

That maybe the case, but it took Mclaren 4 months into the season to bring the updated car. By their own words it seemed like they knew about the direction to go from before the season even started, so the lead time mightve been longer.

McLaren was fast last year begging of the season they just had issues with the brakes ,but they know what us the problem and hiw to solve it. I can't see the same at Aston. I mean they just trying but not really know what causes the tyre degradation and the why so bad the car balance.

Red Bull zeigt immer offener mit dem Finger auf die Frontflügel von McLaren und Ferrari, die sich unter entsprechender Last zu stark verbiegen sollen. Man wollte schon Aston Martin instrumentalisieren, Protest einzulegen. Aber die wollten nichts davon wissen. Man vermutet, dass im Technikbüro in Silverstone an einer ähnlichen Lösung gearbeitet wird.
AMuS - Michael Schmidt

He claims (what we already know) that Red Bull points fingers at McLaren and Ferrari, because their front wings flex too much under certain load. They even wanted to instrumentalize AMR to protest, but they (AMR) didn't want to know anything about it. One suspect, that they (AMR) work on a similar solution.

Mercedes made a good step with their new front wing, because they can balance the car much better now and the drivers have more confidence in it.

would have rather joined red bull with the protest. considering we brought a revised front wing a couple of races ago.

what was the difference between our flexi wing compared to the current flexi wings?

On the question "How quickly will AMR recover their form?" Really it all comes down to what's wrong. You can easily imagine that this car is much faster that it is currently showing, since it is being hampered by balance issues. So maybe the car makes up .5 just on those corrections. So who knows. Impossible to predict with ZERO facts.

Renault Pulling out of Supplying PUs to F1 could be good for AMR as based on the formula, Alpine woulkd get Honda if they can't work out a deal with anyone else.

Honda supplying to 2 teams means more PU tested means fewer problems.
