Alonso expects between 8th and 12th in Barcelona.
I mean they were 6th and 7th last year mostly thanks to Norris being punted and Lecler starting from he pitlane (would have been 8th and 9th whiel expctations were higher so lets see). There are some fixes coming for rear end this weekend (mostly internal fixtures and set-up) but maybe also a revamped underbody floor. Let's see.
Halo not as bad as we thought

According to them Krack said that they will use the next 2 races for certain tests to validate the car to fix things.

I feel like they have spent a whole year testing and validating things... That flex wing ban really hurt them a year ago. Did anyone really uncover what their wings were doing prior to that?

Don't think it's anything different than what they normally do whenever they bring new parts, Writers just like to rewrite stuff so it sounds new. What I found interesting was that they plan on running very high stiffness, higher than the average DF, and knowingly sacrifice the slower sector of the Spanish track for tge two high speed sections.

I believe that the 2024 car was born badly, already in the tests in Bahrain the flow viz interrupted on the sidepods, made it clear that in my opinion they were not happy with the flows. Clearly the 2024 car was influenced by the 2023 directives. We need to understand why they didn't change their philosophy earlier or perhaps they are planning to do so (?). However, you have to have faith, the car for the first half of 2023 was created by this technical department and it was really interesting.

According to Dutch newspaper telegraaf AMR are still in pursuit of Newey's signature

They report of a recent tour of the factory and facilities (according to multiple sources of theirs)

Is running the car super stiff not a massive hinderance? I guess there no massive curbs since they removed the chicane a couple of years ago

Is this the reason AM is not signing Lance officially because Newey might put a Driver's condition?

I don't know; just speculating. No reason for AM to delay Lance's official signing.
May be Lance put the condition; I will sign if Newey joins or bye bye

It is for traction coming out of slow turns. It helps keep the car in the right ride height everywhere else.

When I go back and read that article, I can't tell what Krack said and what's the writers opinion of what they should do.

De Telegraaf (who broke the Christian Horner story) is reporting that Newey will go to Aston Martin, having been shown around their newly build Campus.
