Newey, who is seen as a crucial part of the engineering team who have led Max Verstappen to the past three world titles, had become disillusioned at Red Bull in recent months, and announced his departure in May.

He remains at Red Bull — albeit in a role which involves significantly less day-to-day contact with the

It has been suggested that Aston Martin's staff were requested to vacate the factory for the duration of the visit in a bid to try to stop news about Newey's visit being leaked out.

All in good time. I’m sure a tour is something that happens during the latter stages of negotiations.

Uhh this is completely bullshit when article can’t make its mind up what numbers it wants to say or where it came from lol. You don’t get a factory tour if you are still haggling price. Anyway apparently the contract was already agreed in Miami and since then the factory tour happened and presumably all that’s left is the signature.

From f1 page.

While the squad are not running any further upgrades in Barcelona, Stroll added that Aston Martin are trying to bring updates to the car “as soon as possible”.

I think it was De Telegraaf newspaper
who reported on it and Dutch journalist Erik Van Haren also tweeted about the factory visit which happened a couple of weeks ago. But at the moment it’s just all gossip, no real way to verify a source.
