Perez is in Q3, so if he is 7 or higher Alonso is still in P11 right?
And Perez is in P8, so P11 after penalty, so Alonso gets P10 then. Lets hope for rain tomorrow.
Perez will recover easily... race simulations indicate that both Alpine are ahead and P10 seems out of reach. Maybe with red flags, safety cars or weather conditions, they can make it.
Yeah I liked how Alonso was waving to the fans after his lap like it was top 3 when it was only p11. He knows better things are coming soon.Nikosar wrote: ↑22 Jun 2024, 17:13Perez will recover easily... race simulations indicate that both Alpine are ahead and P10 seems out of reach. The car is too difficult to drive, the employee who desperately reached out to Lawrence Stroll was right. They bring an improvement (local spec or performance improvement) to every GP !! Which means they spend valuable resources on it, and as he said, they should concentrate on making the car easier to drive. Briatore also said that as well.
But we keep the faith despite the results...
I fear nothing better is coming soon from these bunch of non-compete folks. He knows he gave the best in front of home crowd. Its our bad that we got excited after great start last year now we all know it was fluke. I dnt see alonso staying beyond this year unless things improve drmatically or newey joinsRedNEO wrote: ↑22 Jun 2024, 18:29Yeah I liked how Alonso was waving to the fans after his lap like it was top 3 when it was only p11. Yeah even in the English one he has the look of a man who’s happy with his decision to stay. Even in the thumbnail he’s smiling lol. Ahh man im going to contain myself because I don’t want to jinx anything but
Probably, we already see this movie. "we can fight now" "we know what need to do" "we understand the car now" "we will have some upgrades" ... So upgrades rises and qualy is P10 and P12 0.8 behind leader and after that the interviews " we are learning more about upgrades" " the other teams had better stepfoward"... Will be the same in Hungary. Im give up with AM .
As much as Im a fan of Alonso, I dont feel like hes always the best judge of where the car's performance is or going to be. Most infamously "now we can fight". Even last year, he was optimistic about the updates initially till it became obvious theyre going backwards. I wouldnt read too much into his optimism.
I think yes, Aston Martin have lost pace with a report suggesting the FIA's flexi-wing intervention around Azerbaijan may have played a role. But HOW they let the others now having a flexi wing ?
