Easy “non brave” move according to Hoffman
Do you guys watch any races here that isn’t F1? This is every series, ever here.
Of course I do. But these cars are big. Hardly enough space side by side. Easily find yourself with damage to the floor and destroying your race paceHoffman900 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 15:35Do you guys watch any races here that isn’t F1? This is every series, ever here.
It’s really the only spot to pass here. The MotoGP guys do all that too, but being on bikes, I’d argue they’re actually the brave ones.
And they all bail to the paved area… see Carlos / Leclerc and Carlos / Hamilton.101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 15:36Of course I do. But these cars are big. Hardly enough space side by side. Should have attempted one stop. Opportunity wasted
Based on that first stint, Norris doesn't need to stop again.
The way he’s attacking, doesn’t seem like he will. I thought that would be the way they’d go.AR3-GP wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 15:47Based on that first stint, Norris doesn't need to stop again.
Everyone has DRS, you have to enable it and set it up. Not many can do it the way Max does, that's the whole point.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 15:25DRS helps a lot.napoleon1981 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 15:23It's his ability to set it up and instantly make most of the best opportunity. Max is class of the field, but that pass is is a dime a dozen at this circuit with cars that actually race each other, and with the lack of action, it’s going to be shown over and over again.
I’m not making a dig at Max, I’m making a dig at how far the F1 hype machine stretches itself to make anything look more exciting than it is, and that includes adding the words “brave” to something racing drivers and motorcycle racers do here all the time.
I’d rather see a Push to Pass option so Russell could have at least attempted a defense.
Russell didn’t. That’s the problem with DRS and literally why everyone else with these passing gimmicks uses push to pass.napoleon1981 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 15:47Everyone has DRS, you have to enable it and set it up.
