Strategy was suboptimal as well. They chose to generate an offset which costs race time

And if there was a VSC or SC people would say they were lucky. These type of strategies make it possible that you get lucky that way.

Well I concede, McLaren probably was the fastest car here. So unfortunate for that start. Track position and George Russell gave RedBull the win today.

EDIT: This bodes well for upcoming races and at least there's a comfortable cushion to Mercedes and Ferrari. Throwaway weekend for Oscar.

Not sure they are the fastest, well if so, joint fastest. There is nothing between Lando and Max at present.

This last stint Max had the advantage in terms of tire age, but Lando, so far, has taken 4 seconds out of him.

That's not joint fastest, Lando is clearly faster. Not by a huge margin, but he is the fastest.

But, you have to base on the race, and overall Max amd RB have been fastest. It's close though both are pretty much level.

What strategy would have worked better? Max was 4.5seconds at his first stop. Not sure we were making it all up with a different strat.

If Lando had a decent start (being not worse than 2nd after the first lap), there would be no need for an alternative strategy to remotely have a chance at the win.

The strategy was fine. They had nothing else to do when NOR ended up P3 after T1. Even with that bad start the race was still good, pace was good and with more luck they could have won. The pace is surely there.

It was a gamble. Either try something different to go for the win, or just concede that 2nd is the best you're gonna get this race.

Not even close, Red Bull is just playing with everybody, pretending to be weak. They instantly found 0.5 sec per lap when they needed

No, Max is losing big time, he'd not give up nearly .7s a lap to toy with anyone.

Alright, onto Austria we go. The car is fast and Lando loves the track.
