w/e, we won’t expect miracles tomorrow so they should take what they have and bring it home.

Every time Leclerc makes a mistake, people always come up with the excuse that he's pushing too hard. I think that after so many mistakes, Leclerc should have known that pushing the car too much rarely results in any good.

A good driver should know the limits of the car and how much he can push to obtain an excellent position on the track. We have had many aggressive drivers in F1, who crashed more than achieved good results with this driving style.

He was going for P3, I don't blame him given the car and where it is.
With Charles magic i think p2 was possible, but unlucky today, car with bouncing rly hard to drive.

Solid weekend thus far by Sainz.

I don't know if that level of risk was necessary by Leclerc.

Did he damage the floor?

Charles: "Honestly, it worked out better than I thought. In Q3 it was my fault, I didn't do my job. It's a shame because the lap was pretty good (maybe a front row finish). We're heading in the right direction on my side, but in Q3 I didn't get the job done."

Isn't that the definition of pushing too hard? I don't understand what you mean. It's not an excuse, it's a fact, he said it himself. "Pushing too hard" isn't a positive thing; he did it and failed.

They didn't have a good idea about the limits of this car beforehand - the team said as much earlier today. I hope now they do and this stops them from doing anything silly in the future.

How far was Charles up/down on Norris before he ran wide?

Sainz just now: We went different ways with both cars, and we both had bouncing. There are some laps that it is there and there are laps that it's not. The team is pushing hard to bring a upgrade that can help us in the high speed corners in Silverstone.

Sooo... next weekend might be another "upgrade adjustment" weekend? 🥴

Leclerc tried way too hard. It rarely pays off with this car. His mistake.
He did but I'd much rather have a Leclerc who pushes to the limit and beyond to some of the other drivers, it's why Leclerc has so many poles to his name.

The really disappointing thing for me is that Ferrari have not provided him with a capable car that can both qualify and race, he has shown he is capable of doing both when the car is there.

For me, had Leclerc been in the McLaren for example I am confident he would have won at least 3 of the last 5 races.

He was .366 behind Verstappen after S2, Carlos was .27 at that same spot if i remember correctly.

Norris ended .404 behind but S3 is where Verstappen makes most time.

Charles already made an error at T6. P2 was very much possible. But it's clear that if you are on the back foot all the time then pushing beyond the limit is required and it causes error

Charles shouldn't feel too bad
