Yea it’s the same forecast for FP3 as it now.
I’d imagine that it will clear for Quali but it’ll still be wet conditions

It might be a damp track drying through the session, which could be exciting.

We need it to dry out for the track to come to us.

This weekend is going to be a mess weather-wise. So its gonna be a mix of luck, driver ability and car setup that will make the difference.

Some saying dry track for tomorrow, is it right?
To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one's ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone. ― Bruce McLaren

Rain may continue up until 4 pm today, the forecasts now suggest.

Don't think so, forecasts suggest high chance of rain, but we'll see tomorrow.

Even in these wet conditions, McLaren is making good time against Mercedes, who have a bigger rear wing. All I can say is that the overall balance of the chassis is more than capable of handling these conditions. But if there is more water, McLaren could lose ground to Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.

Dry qualifying and race would have put the team in a good position. Under the forecast conditions it's a lottery. Could be yet another missed opportunity. A good car but not getting a great run just yet.

Lando for sure ran a higher df rear wing during fp3

Indeed! I somehow missed it during the broadcast.
I confirm.

So my previous assumption is wrong. McLaren and Mercedes are using the same rear wing they used in Canada. So that's why the speeds in the wet are similar. But Oscar lacks downforce, less confidence in the rear. I'll also note that both cars used the old front wing (Miami spec).

I like Landos driving, pushing the tracks grip levels to find the limits.

If there's no more rain, it'll be time for softs.
