We need two more tenths on a last lap. Oscar must step up in his last lap. He's still too far from Lando. We need him close to Lando.

Both Mclarens seems to have screwed up their last lap. Onwards to the race then. We are better in race pace and the Mercedes will eat up their tyres quickly.

If the race is without rain, then a wing with a lot of pressure will be a mistake.

That's why you don't get excited on a Friday.

Last laps were pretty bad for both drivers. Unfortunate.

They were lucky. Tomorrow however we will eat them both since Mercedes are crap in tyre management. The only problem is Max next to the second row and how of an antiracer he is.

Of the top 5, I think only the Mercs improved. I saw Max lose it a bit, not sure what happened to our lads.

Piastri didnt mess up his lap it was close getting to the line with the aston and ferrari, They wouldn't have had proper spacing on their hotlaps. Just looked at lando's on board, he had a similar moment in T4 like verstappen, bit of wheelspin and then last corner of maggots and becketts onto the hangar straight hes a little too wide onto the curb, suspect he cooked his rears in T4 and never got it back.

On the plus side, McLaren are set up for the race. Merc are running more wing, they will be easy pickings in the drier conditions.

Even in these wet conditions, McLaren is making good time against Mercedes, who have a bigger rear wing. All I can say is that the overall balance of the chassis is more than capable of handling these conditions. But if there is more water, McLaren could lose ground to Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.
Dry qualifying and race would have put the team in a good position. Under the forecast conditions it's a lottery. Could be yet another missed opportunity. A good car but not getting a great run just yet.
Yea I’m always pessimistic but I feel too that Mclaren might have missed out on their best opportunities.
Now the Merc has locked out the front row I feel they are at least an equal to McLaren now so when ever Max struggles like today Mclaren don’t end up capitalising because a Merc is in the way.
Also with another update for Red Bull to come in Hungary and the lack of development talk from McLaren I can only feel Mclaren slipping back.

BUT to contradict myself, this was obviously a massively green track and will continue to be so and that plays into Mercedes hands which could skew the overall pecking order
