They were a second off in Canada in q2.Xyz22 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:40You think so? 0.7s behind?CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:38Nah, it's exactly where the Imola spec performs in cold conditions.
I'm not 100% convinced that the "brain power" in place is competitive enough to mount a proper WC challenge.Autobahn303 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 17:53With all the money, facilities and brain power, how is it possible not be able to build a competitive car?
Wasn't Canada that bad because of no "difficult" corners to put energy into the tyres? This isn't the case in Silverstone.CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:43They were a second off in Canada in q2.Xyz22 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:40You think so? 0.7s behind?CouncilorIrissa wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:38
Nah, it's exactly where the Imola spec performs in cold conditions.
Brain power can be bought but looks like there is a culture and management issue here. First and foremost its important to change that without which even the best will fail.deadhead wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:45I'm not 100% convinced that the "brain power" in place is competitive enough to mount a proper WC challenge.Autobahn303 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 17:53With all the money, facilities and brain power, how is it possible not be able to build a competitive car?
Yea, but the track was also warmer than today (I've just checked and air temp was around 20 C in Montreal. Today it was 13 C).
This is exactly a reason for him to join, except that we speak for Ferrari here that is a dream to all.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 18:11The drivers ended their interviews with the usual "we'll see about the race, who knows" thing, but speaking frankly, we all know this season is ---ed, right?
Also I don't think Newey is coming to Ferrari. Only Italian sources have been reporting on it while every other organization has been saying AM. If he was actually considering SF I'd expect at least a few other organizations to have picked it up. Plus, speaking from common sense, why would he want to come here, the company has some internal issue they haven't fixed for over 17 years. At least with AM they're bringing in tons of new staff and starting from a "blank slate".
I don't know if that is better to be honest.Sphere3758 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2024, 20:01It is looking quite likely to be very wet during the race tomorrow at this moment.
