I like both Hamilton and Russell and "support" them both. (You can do that if you want BTW. Did you know? ). As I see it they are at different stages of their career and have different targets so drive with different aims. They both want to be top dog, but Hamilton wants to finish the year with more points while Russell wants to "make a name for himself" which is done with wins positions and being in front of superstars. They are both very good drivers, but one has yet to establish himself while the other has nothing to prove to anyone, including himself, and he knows accidents not only hurt, but lose you points at the end of the season.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

I wonder what it will do to the chances of "the savior of the merciless, aahaaa" who is "forecast for a win".
(sorry couldn't resist, I love his accent and radio messages during the race - as victorian british as it gets)

I think Pirellli Motorsport account on X (🤢) is where you can find it, but it might be too early still, Italians like to sleep in on Sundays.

No longer forecasting thunderstorms but there's still a 50% / 60% chance of rain, these are our famous scattered showers, we just love British summers :(

It will be sunny as well so will dry out quick, absolutely anything could happen, I'd love a Merc win but looking forward to a good race either way.

Keep it on the track and always be on the right tire, then a bit of luck with the enivitable safety car and you you'll be there or there abouts

The only forecast I'm interested in is Mercedes' forecast for George.

How that? There is statistically amongth the top 5 overtaking on the level right behind Monaco and Spore. Last year we had Ver on Nor at the beginning and at the end Per passed Alo with dying tires. Every other position change was bottled strategies by people pitting into traffic and the safety car.
I would say that if it is dry you either need to be first or second after the first lap or you need a well timed safety car...

There is also no good driver out of position, so I fear there is not much overtaking action. But the pit stop strategies will be very interesting.

if I'm not mistaken, Russell showed 240 km per hour in Stowe, this is very fast, at the level of the W11, only Bottas' W10 showed 250 km per hour in 2019
Correct, 240 in stowe is already very, very fast, especially given the conditions, but that 250 by bottas is just ludicrous speed.

Ok so the story of my life here. Current forecast for Silverstone is for heavy rain right now- just watching the F2 feature race and they are on slicks on a dry track

This could be a fantastic race, so many cars with different set-ups (depending on what their weather forecasts were predicting for the race).

If it's dry yes but that's looking unlikely for the whole race which throws open lots of variables.

But having said that, I'm about 100 miles north of the track and the forecast is very similar, it should be raining right now buy I'm sat in the garden under blazing sun 🌞
