Operationally they did everything right, and Max ofcourse brought the car home in a much better position than I expected. Well done.
Everything was world championship class except for the car today.
Ver's overtake on Norris at the start probably cost Norris the race and 2nd place (and allowed Ver to extend the championship lead). Then Ver's call to go to inters before the rest saved him more seconds of race time (compare to the call some others made...). Ver never went out of the track like the others did. Finally Red Bull putting him on the hard tire on the right lap at the end gave him the position over Norris. If there had been a safety car, they would have won.
It wasn't a win today, but days like to today allow you to admire the various aspects of the team. If they had started on pole and driven away, people wouldn't appreciate it.
