Red Bull RB20

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I can't be certain but could be some slight differences

So Redbull sticking to double deam wing whilst McLaren have gone for single.
Btw, the left lower beam wing - does it have a philips head screw drilled into it ? Bizzare

This double beamwing design is working the same as everyone else's single beamwing design - compare silhouette of rb's double beamwing design to mclaren/ferrari's single elements. This is RB's medium/low downforce

Did anyone else notice the vortices coming off RBs rear wing? I couldn’t see any other team having that strong of a vortex, not even Ferrari or VCarb who has a similar rear wing philosophy.

Took some photos of the screen with my phone since I can’t print screen from F1TV so the quality isn’t good. If anyone else can find better images please post them :)

[Edit] New to this site and couldnt figure out how to import images from my camera album :/

It could be related to this vortex generating device

Mod edit: Fixed that for you. You don't post the url link proper, (top) but the link to the jpg image under it (bottom). Right click on your online pic to get the image link.

Vortices coming off Max's rear wing through Chapel and down the Hanger straight.

On the Venturi splitters, is there a slot effectively creating a tiny tunnel through the splitters themselves on this new floor or is it just damage?

Now that those photos are visible, I think it's simply because of these vortex generating devices:

Anyone saw the article on GP confidential regarding RB suspension
Seems that they had a complex system with up to 3 reservoirs and with latency on charge and discharge cycles, with goal to keep ride height constant
FIA disassembled it circa Miami GP and ordered the latency system to be removed
It was the moment Domenicalli mentioned that RB dominance was not to last

1st time I heard about this

Do you have an article about this?
Saw it on tv. No idea where to get that from. But I believe is a program from F1 TV

The only thing I can make of this is a potentially different engine cover. Could be an optical illusion but it appears to no longer have the barrels.

The large high 'Mercedes-style' cannons look to have gone.

Also, are the Halo ducts gone aswell? Hard to tell from the photo
