If they developed the 2023 care with that flex wing(if FiA not banned) we would have been more better than McLaren and may be fighting for WDC...
they lost a year of development in that direction which is huge loss for the team.
hope they will bounce back from that...... finger crossed.....
No ,those wings made to much downforce and drag. Those wings was good till other teams was struggle. If Aston could use their 2023 car in 2024 ,then in Monaco they couldn't even go in Q3 . The whole field just got +1 second faster. The only thing what make faster the cars in this area is use smaller front and rear wings as possible and find more downforce by the floor to compensate the loost by wings. This what Redbull understand very good since the ground effect area.
The flexibility of the wings has nothing to do with the load, it is as if it were active aerodynamics and directs the flows differently, so the bottom and the rest of the car also change. Consequentially, the flexible wing makes a huge difference and also consider how at silverstone the car had no handling problems

That could however also be influenced by using the old floor, therefore Budapest/Spa will be a deciding point for the rest of the season if the new floor works.

Even in China and Suzuka the handling wasn't good, a lot of understeer. At silverstone it was different

You misunderstood me. I did talked about the flexi wing its self but the 2023 front and rear wing (was flexing yes),but I meant those wings flaps was to big and made to much downforce and drag compare to Redbull front wing which flaps was very flat and Aston had big flaps and big curves.

I can just Imagine how many resources went towards trying to get the same results from the front wing without the same flex.

Red Bull has filed a technical complaint against McLaren, I hope the FIA doesn't start banning things or launching new TDs now that Aston seems to have found something that works :D

According to this account new floor + halo bits from the filming day will be in Hungary. Changes to diffuser and sidepods in the next races.

They did a lot of experiments to have front wings without flexibility, the AMR24 was a car that was born even before the ban on flexible wings. Now we understand this decline in 1 year. It's time to take revenge

Did you read it? It about them installing sensors during free practice, removing the sensors after FP and leaving the holes open after the fact. It's about 3 races ago.

Wish people would stop JUST reading headlines and then jumping to conclusions.

I tend to agree with you on this but it wasn't all on the front wing. How much of it was, is hard to say. Certainly the Imola floor isn't working as expected either.

In the comment there is no mention nor allusion of the complaint being for the flex wing, and my response was free of any suggested or conclusive claims. As well, there is an emoticon to denote a funny remark.

Folks would ease up before making untrue claims.

The Imola floor didn't work, it's true, but they were already talking about Imola in Bahrain, saying that another championship would start there. And well, that development was still focused on the front wing without flexibility, so it didn't work this is true, but for me it was before returning to work on the flex wing and therefore it was related to the previous car. The current car, however, seems to work and seems to be related, the tunnel seems to have remained related to this flexibility

Has Aston Martin considered switching to a pullrod front suspension next year or will they maintain the same configuration?
