We're not even halfway through the season yet and Leclerc has already made me regret to ever rating him so high, to the point of calling him WDC material.

I've never seen a driver make so many mistakes in a season. Not even Mazepin or Latifi and we're still halfway through the season. Unlike these drivers, Leclerc has a big troop to excuse him from these mistakes, always placing the blame on the team. 'Curse', 'team sabotage', 'pushing too hard' are always the classic excuses for bad driving.
Apart from this mistake in FP and maybe mistake in Austria quali? What other mistakes are worth noting here?

Be aware also Max had some mistakes that are worth mentioning in FPs and quali
I remember him spinning in Miami after like 5 minutes and his session was over. It was also a sprint weekend. It had no real influence on the end result, but nevertheless something like that can't happen to any F1 driver.

Leclerc was at a peak driving the first half of 2022. The auto was good, he was so good. But since than he completely fell apart.
At this point I really doubt if Leclerc will ever be able to fight for a world championship, thinking that he has to be consistent in like 20 from 24 races.

And the worst about this, that Sainz looks simply faster for the last couple of Grand Prix. The asset that Leclerc always had was his speed.
You don't have to worry about this. Ferrari won't make a WDC capable car so it doesn't matter. :D

Using the last 2 races when they have a 100 races together is the definition of recency bias.

Charles does not have a speed problem. It looks like he is not able to get a setup he likes at the moment, feels similar to the middle of last year when the car would get extremely unstable with a stronger front.

Either way, that is not an excuse to put the car in the wall. But Ferrari are really not helping bring the best out of him

Imagine focusing on a Fp2 crash when we have Sainz 0.7s off Perez in the race trim simulation

Race trim simulation was not good. Only Piastri did worse :D
Theres something weird about it.
They either testing something or they saving PU.
Well i dont believe that in the race the race pace will be worse than Gasly either, like today.

Confirmation comes that Leclerc's bottom is unfortunately damaged...

I don't understand why he is pushing so much in free practice?

LEC certainly struggling this season for whatever reason. Definitely bellow the standard he has been driving at for the past 4-5 years.

Have they improved bouncing ? Have drivers or team made any comment on the update?

Charles seems surprisingly positive. Claimed that the Mclaren was faster, but nothing really about the others.

Recency bias again.
He had an incredible first 8 races or whatever it was until after Monaco.

Past his prime ? Big sadge. Always believed Leclerc form is temporary class is permanent. But unforced error monkey doesn’t seem to get off his back.

Charles Leclerc's day ended prematurely due to a bang during a timed lap on a medium tire, going wide at Turn 4 and losing control of his single-seater at high speed, failing to avoid impact with the barriers after a spin. An injury that will not help the Maranello engineers, who have a third bottom available, but saw an FP2 close with only the Spaniard's data available.
“I thought it was bigger, but it wasn't that big. Enough for me to finish the session though,” said the Monegasque, with Ferrari later confirming that the Monegasque's bottom was safe.

That article is very positive about the weekend and both drivers seem pretty happy with the car.

Leclerc's crash: are you able to say if it's due to some possible bouncing in T4 or it's pure driver error ? genuine question here.

You'd hear the bouncing in the onboard if it was what triggered the crash. But there is no ethnic striking audible

He has a bit too much speed into the apex causing a mid-corner snap that he has to steer into which causes him to run wide, plank bottoms a bit on curb which unloads rear tyres and sends him around. Unfortunate but driver error
