He should have first put a decent lap at the beginning as his teammate did it, which he takes the blame for at least, but yeah the bigger f*uck up is from the team that not putting enough fuel for a drying track.

correct me if i'm wrong cause i was only watching the telemetry but it seemed like he had to slow down in S1 running into Sainz and Yuki, he set purple minisectors in the final sector

I thought this bloody car was good in the low speed? 6 tenths is miles off. Toto thought they would only be 2 tenths off. Oh well the struggle continues.

That was a handful. Funny that last two seasons, it has been ok here but today, less so.

No 2 ways to slice it, that was disappointing; looking at the results, the oddity is Merc. We’ve clearly regressed into the clutches of Ferrari rather than maintain a fight with the front pack. Pray for rain.

it is odd that at other rear limited circuits they werent that far off, less than 3 tenths off from Charles, less than a tenth off from Mclaren in Monaco and 2 tenths in Austria but 6 tenths here. I thought this would be a very good track for the Merc, the track temps even dropped by almost 30 degrees from yesterday

Lewis didn't look anywhere near comfortable and kept overdriving the car. Had George been there, it would have given another perspective of where the car would have been, as he was faster and more comfortable than Lewis throughout the weekend. He ended up making a mistake in his first run.
