He made slight mistake in chicane, that's why yellow second sector, an a moment of slight oversteer in turn11 (just before S2 timeline.) May be lost 2 tents. Maybe.

Tomorrow is more concerning… fp2 race pace was atrocious but steady on low .25, could be they were testing something else

Thing about FP2, Race pace is taken before they make all the big overnight setup changes. So when you have new parts, you need to take those times with a grain of salt. Plus this track is notoriously difficult to pass on.

7th isnt bad considering Alonso never got to do a lap on new tires in Q3 because of the red flag

He did a magnificant S1 but caught to much curb in turns 6 and 7.

Im quite surprise with the performance, honestly, maybe they finally find the way, could be interesting next week with more upgrades and rest of season. Remember, Alonso said point is the target and if they stay on the points is that mean AM finally in the right way, so, wait for tomorrow, but, looks a lot of promising than yesterday.

I'm honestly a bit disappointed by the updates, same position as Silverstone, I'm hoping for a better race pace at this point
