If someone knows how to post twitter links to show up direcly like the picture above, let me know. Trying to use the media function seemingly doesnt work for me, but did before. So no idea what happend there.
Ocon to be announced in due course, most likely. Dont know what to think of it. Speed-wise, an upgrade. However, this will be the first time he would become the de facto "team leader" driver. '17-'18 he had Perez as a teammate, '20 he had Ricciardo, 21'-22' Alonso and '23-'24 Gasly, who had taken that role in Toro Rosso/Alpha Tauri prior to his move to Alpine. So this would mean that Ocon would have to step up in regards to that. Lets see if he can.
Also, HAAS is getting two new drivers, which means somewhat of a clean slate in terms of who knows what about eachothers tendencies etc. Sure, Bearman has been with them for some time, but not in "anger". So that would mark a transition period as well. And with the 2026 regs coming up quickly, I question whether it wouldnt have been better to keep Magnussen for the sake of known quantity. And I dont think he has been that bad this season. Some misfortunes and, perhaps Hulkenberg is just that good.
