I think Mercedes and Ferrari splitted the setup. We didn't. RB they will try to use Perez to block all of us but this huge RW will destroy him. We need to clear them really fast

Maybe this was a strategy at RedBull with Perez. To bring him in front of the grid in order to hold the pack until Verstappen is making way through the field.
I think tomorrow start and first laps will be crucial for McLaren if we want to win this race. We know what happened to Lando who stayed too much behind Russell in Spain.

Be interesting to know setups if others compromised race set up abit for quali and if McLaren focused on race more, who knows. If Perez has more DF I don't think he'll be able to defend at this track very well

Whatever happens both drivers should keep their head in Lap1. Chasing 1st sector when everyone is on slip stream is recipe for chaos. Perez is not a clean driver so better have a overtaking plan than the conventional overtake. Both Mclaren will finish before Perez if they keep their head. Just dont ruin the race even before Max reaches the back of the Mclaren. A cautious approach will be better.

Seems like both McLarens are betting for dry whereas Red Bull went with high downforce setup. It would have been ideal to split the two cars in terms of dry and wet which could have covered Max whichever way he went.

I’m usually a pessimist, although it could have gone better today I’m optimistic for tomorrow, the wet weather played to the others more today, Mclaren should come to the fore tomorrow

Perez with the big rw could easily lose couple places on start. Lando could be in a good position at the start tomorrow, it's a big drag race after Eau Rouge.
Perez and Leclerc could be trying hard tomorrow, might be a bit dangerous around them on lap 1 though.

If possible today someone to help.with a comparison view for McLaren, RB, Ferrari and Mecedes between car in FP2 and in quali. Maybe will be easier to spot the aproach each team took in setup.

I expected that we had dry set up for a wet qualification. If things go normal tomorrow we should be able to be 1-2 in a matter of a few laps.

It confirms my suspicion .Ferrari splitted the setup . RB huge RW . Mercedes threat but not race pace. We need to execute just perfect in the first 5 to 6 laps and we are going for 1-2
