Piastri was 5sec in front of Russel with fresher, kind of easy decision if you think outside of the box

Easy decision with hindsight. I don't think anyone would have thought that would genuinely work though. Fair play to Russell, he gambled and made it work.

Team were telling Lando he could push the hards the moment he put them on. They knew.

Both of our drivers could have gone till the end. Yet another shitty strategy from the team. Still we got more points than Red Bull and Ferrari. Mercedes got more points than us.

Not sure anyone would’ve thought a one stop would work.

Equally if Oscar wouldn’t have come in so hot on his final pit stop, could’ve saved him 2 seconds given the slow pit stop.

Everytime Leclerc sees a Mclaren he goes into a "do or die" mode, while giving up right away when fighting against Lewis.

FML, so disappointing...
Lap 1, NOR clear driver error,
Strategy, NOR below 1s for several laps but they waited for VER to pit instead of undercutting him (or 1 stop).
Strategy, possible 1 stop maybe.
Also, both cars finishing within DRS of marginally slower cars bcz McL races are just not managed correctly and they are unable to use 100% of what they have in hands.

That was all on George Russell. Fantastic drive. We just didn't have the speed.

Leclerc was imho the biggest factor. The guy has a problem with Mclaren.

Worth bearing in mind, Oscar would have been straight into DRS of Lec if he'd nailed his stop. 2 seconds lost would have got him to Ham by lap 42. Except he'd not have fought Lec for so long, so probably sooner.

Strategy might have still won it. Could have been on the Metcs with 3 or 4 laps to attack.
