This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Likewise, Hülkenberg could have said after the Audi deal that he isn't going to pretend that Haas is a championship contender, as this team hasn't even reached the podium yet ever. Hülkenberg was the first driver to leave Haas on his own terms, Komatsu did everything to keep him, so it seems a little bittersweet for Komatsu.
I also have to wonder about their driver selections. Back to the rookies, which was so painful with Schumacher. And for Bearmann's mentor, they chose Ocon, which is the worst choice of the grid as mentor. He is going to slap that rookie in the face as soon as Estie-Bestie gets his first chance.
I don't think they'll ever be. They are the smallest team by a margin, has their operations split over 3 countries, is never really attracting top level talent, and a customer team. They have an owner that really does not like pumping additional funding into the team and is more often than not going to have one of the smaller budgets on the grid anyway. This is a team that if they maximize their potential, is only ever going to reach the midfield. I would like for that not to be the case because that usually means Ferrari are doing something right.
Haas’ Team Principal Ayao Komatsu has revealed that owner Gene Haas became increasingly irked by condonations of the poor results the team suffered during Günther Steiner’s tenure. https://www.motorsportweek.com/2024/08/ ... -failures/
Was it just Steiner's fault or the team didn't have enough quality on a whole to get good results?

His personality (as shown on the TV) was parody. This is not useful for an F1 team in my opinion.
This years car was built with Steiner, Resta, Molina and Piraccini on board and involved...
They are no longer there.
We shall see how their replacements are doing in a year or so with different drivers .

That's right. They chose Ocon as Bearman's mentor. I wonder what kind of mushrooms Gene and Ayao have been eating when making this decision.

It seems like they have gotten their upgrades to work?
