Red Bull is using the Barcelona spec wing.
Yes, they used their mid-load wing in Barcelona practices too and opted out, choosing high-load of course (different tips and endplates are easiest way to spot one or another)

I'm not convinced. Anyway, if your comment is true, then it's the same way they ran the car in 2022.

I didn't know facts require further convincing, fun world

They ran RB19 with this high-load spec actually (probably because of the rain on Saturday), not RB18. In 2022 most teams ran mid-high load wings

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I said the medium load is the same way that they ran in 2022. It is a reference to your comment.

Ah, verbal ambiguity, the backbone of F1 domination through gray area innovation 8)

Anyways, RB18 medium size wing was actually a mid-high load wing, reduced to mid-load for 2023 and used again in 2024. They are still by far the best in optimising a small number of rear wings across all tracks and multiple seasons. Ferrari seemed like amateurs in that regard until this year, while McLaren is still introducing new specs with minimal differences every other race...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

No rain from now on today, wind is lower and almost blue sky, time for slicks probably.

Missed most of FP1. Can anyone tell me what the pecking order looked like in wet conditions?

Hard to read from the limited running during the wet stage, most of the running was during a (almost) dry track. McL is defenitely at/near the front as expected.

Top speeds after FP1:

Ferrari seems to lose top speed after the finish line towards the speed trap, at least in LEC`s case ... it the ERS clipping before the speed trap or they are just testing something else (deployment, etc.)? Or maybe he set his time when the track was wet and needed to brake much earlier for the tight turn 1?

looks very close at the top so far. Mercedes probably benefitted a bit from an improving track, but I guess it's safe to say that they have a chance again.

So the long runs suggest McLaren strong on Mediums (Norris) with Max around 4 tenths behind Norris. Lewis' mediums run comes third. On Softs, George was looking the quickest. So once again a close competition for the race win. Nice!

Isn't the C3 hard the preferred race tire? I wonder whose car will be optimised for that. Mclaren clearly has the legs on the medium.
