I was fully expecting Piastri to glide past Charles by now… obviously several laps or so to go it’s possible, but it’s very impressive.
Even more so that Sainz was making in-roads to Charles as well. Obviously fresher tyres in comparison, but it’s still solid.
I wouldn’t say as far as being the 2nd best car today, I’m sure Max has gone into cruise mode now… but nice to see a slightly stronger race from Ferrari as of recent, and decent strategy too. Hope it raises the moral of the team a bit for the remaining…
With a different quali i think we could have put pressure on Max. Leclerc pace with the mediums was super but we lost lot of time due to traffic.
Sainz super strong with the hard tyres. Luckily, Mercedes --- up and didn't have to overtake Russell on track.
