AMAZING DRIVE from both driver, also car is clearly good in race, people need to stop overreacting in qualy day, we know its bad its quite sad but its not end of the world
Higher temps really woke up the car, LEC had an incredible drive, simply everything he did was super quality, the undercut with making tires last 50 laps was absolutely surgical, he pulled 1 fast lap and then settled the tires to go and never tried to match Max on 7 lap newer tires, but Max himself couldn't stretch that lead.
Finishing 3s behind Max ahead of Piastri was not an expected result. Sainz great drive too. Glad I woke up.
Just a pure masterclass in tire management as well. Oscar had a 9-lap delta and couldn't get through. Oscar had a weak race here, but still very impressive by Charles to be faster than Max in the end there.
If this was a damage limitation race from Ferrari, bring on the races that are meant to suit us.
Obviously I’m not expecting miracles, especially giving what McLaren demonstrated today, but hopefully we can get back on the right track and make some progress… to make it hard for the likes of Max and Lando fighting for the Drivers Championship.
Pretty ridiculous people are acting like this was an expected result. The car was still extremely difficult to handle. The weather helped for sure and some other factors, but let's not act like this was what you would get if you put the average driver in this car. The drivers and team simply were at their best today. Sainz and Leclerc did what many drivers wouldn't be able to.
Cautiously excited for the tracks we know the drivers and team are good at.

Still, guys the goal is to win. McLaren is miles ahead.
This track is not good for us and we know it, but there is a lot of work to do. Hopefully they understood what went wrong with the upgrades and improve for the last part of the season and especially next year. I don't want McL domination.
Today just perfect execution though, very impressive.
