Wouldn’t it be easier to fire up the tires in qualy since they are on the softer side ?
It's not just a tyre temp issue for quali.

The high temperature will help mainly in the race.

Fair enough, that's a recent situation. Assuming Monza updates don't solve this issue (it's an important issue, so can't see them missing a chance to fix it) there's still a difference in setup that will help reduce this issue in Q sessions (where it can hurt the most).

In Monza, wings are the smallest, so they won't generate extra load on tyres like in Hungary. In Baku, wings are also small (like Spa) and you need to raise the car for bumps. In Singapore wings are as big as Hungary, but you again have to raise the car, though this time close to Monaco setup. Suspension should be on the soft side for better traction in all 3 events, which also helps with tyre deformation.

More details from Motorsport Italy about the new wind tunnel rolling road and yaw improvements

With the new movable carpet (rolling road), in fact, the Scuderia can improve the quality of the investigation in the wind tunnel being able to bring the model in scale 40% closer to the floor and allowing the aerodynamics of Diego Tondi to expand the investigation with the single-seater in the yaw, with an angle of increased steering compared to before. Having a more extensive aerodynamic map should allow the study of a car less sensitive to wind gusts.

Unsurprisingly, both aspects (running extremely low and prolonged steering input) are where Ferrari is having trouble for the last 18 months

Nugnes also implies the update in Monza was scheduled for Zandvoort, but was not used in the end. This isn't impossible and does happen (you don't get enough setup info from simulator, weekend weather is too tricky for a new feature to be tested, etc), even if it is a handy excuse :mrgreen:

Honestly can't imagine a better Monza wing than the one they already had. If there really is a new wing, it's an improvement in some way obviously. Better efficiency can mean either lower drag or more downforce, they could only reduce the drag by reducing the wing size and this is not what they needed last year. Probably more downforce and maybe even more drag, but at a better overall efficiency.

Now I'm really looking forward to seeing it :mrgreen:

The “shopping list” that Ferrari will present in Brianza will also include a new low load rear wing, which will be stated and combined with a single profile beam wing. In the last edition of the Italian GP, the Maranello team had “recycled” the previous year's wing, mounting the same specification seen in 2022 on the F1-75 directly on the following year's SF-23. A reuse that precisely will not happen this year. The new low-loading wing, endowed with greater efficiency, will retain the now classic “pointed ears” in the junction between the endplate and wing profiles, and in all likelihood will be reintroduced later in Las Vegas as well.

Yup, I read that part already. Still can't imagine improving it :mrgreen:

Just a speculation, but they could introduce a bit more camber on main element for more downforce (and a bit more drag), while keeping the flap under low angle and very flat for optimal DRS delta. I think it would be wrong to lose the low drag feature of 22/23 Monza wing without DRS in the race, so I hope they won't aim for a wing with steep flap angle in any case

Those are launch car renders with several incorrect details (of that car spec) and rendered with lots of perspective skew. Livery is representation of Monza livery. Don't look at those for any useful details :mrgreen:

The only differences are the color of the pilot numbers, and that's kind of it.

Charles said again that they understood what went wrong in quali.

This is like 5th time i am reading they understand issues, i suppose fix cant come this season same as for long corners
