This sounds pretty dire to me, and makes me think it's ever more likely RBR could flounder enough for Max to lose the WDC, particularly if Lando doesn't drop any points due to reliability issues.

Rewatched Monza 2022 (it was on Sky) and the RB18 was an insane car.
Completely in another league compared to the others.

This just tells me that the car is going backwards. It will be a miracle if Max goes on the podium in Monza.

On outright 1 lap pace yes. But in race pace they can make big gains if they find out where the high tyre deg comes from. If they can get the excellent tyre deg from early season back they can fight on sundays. Will be interesting to see what they are changing on the car.

A lot of doom and gloom here. Making a car more predicatble doesn't necessarily make it slower. The driver needs to be comfortable with the car. Also, Max is in no danger for the championship battle. He hasn't made a single mistake this year except for Miami. He won't be dropping unnecessary points.

Hungary is debatable for him dropping points, but generally I agree.

Redbull supporters should not be too downbeat.
Despite the recent issues they will still likely be fastest over 1 lap thanks to straight line speed and also parabolica imo.
As for the race things will be tighter and will depend on there ture wear issues in comparison to merc and mclaren

I think straight line speed/drs advantage is gone. They are at best equal with some other teams.
The only slight advantage they have is in the fast sweeping corners (as long as track is smooth). So they will be probably good in parabolica. But generally there is much more time can be gained/lost in the chicanes, so those will be more important.

Was similar in Spa through sector 2. More wing level than other (presumably to protect the tyre deg?) but didn’t help on the DRS zone after eau rouge.

If the DRS has been lengthened 105m here, the DRS advantage will be huge.

A higher wing to gain a big on the higher DF sectors, will mean your a sitting --- on a long straight with little chance to defend

Entry kerb in ascari is still huge, maybe even higher now, so this will not play into RBs hands. Only mid and exit kerbs are flat.

Max onboard looked really good.

The comparison with Perez is embarrassing

Yeah, looked ok. He had traffic in ascari which definitely affected him. I noticed RB as expected cant take ascari entry kerb, while mclaren jumps over it.

Think quali will be competitive. Big question mark is race pace compared to McL which also looks very fast in the straights.
