New motor in the back of Russell's car as well.

Seems like a stupid move and should have waited until tomorrow to fit the new PU IMO. Was Wolff aiming for Antonelli to do glory runs all FP1?
Does that count against Georges parts quota ?
It does.

I hate these crashes in practice sessions. And it's usually same culprits.

Degradation seems notable for all cars. Even the Mclarens are losing pace.

Missed all of Q2 but jeard Karun say Merc had good race pace even in the hot weather. Is that actually true?

Merc was the only car that was getting faster at the end of the race sim.

Graining on left side which comes as no surprise with new surface

Worth noting different tyre ages of different teams. McLaren mediums were 3 laps old before their long runs. Ferrari started their long runs on mediums that did 8 laps (charles) and 9 laps (carlos).

If it recall right, the last race where front graining was an issue Sainz won it in Australia?

Graining always happens with fresh, smooth tarmac. There is too much adhesion.

Ignoring the whole Verstappen brake failure, then sure.
