nice to see car being stable and not seeing driver constantly fight the car in corners. they might not win but you can't deny they have taken a step forward. wonder what else upgrade they will bring to next 2 race? like in this race itself they bought lot of upgrades, what else is there on the car that requires update?

Rumor is that this here at Monza is the last upgrade of the season.

they have no wind tunnel at the moment, so I guess not for a while, at least. How long does it usually take for an upgrade to make it to the track?

Been able to watch a few onboards from Leclerc in FP3 and also the first lap in Q.
The car is still "suffering" from under rotation compared to what Leclerc is asking. Quite visible in some corners.

I suppose we need very low dwf RW compared to other teams due to drag last 3 years. When you see who won the race last 2 times it was RBR which had more wings.
Now its mclaren with more wings that has advantage

Not a great Q2 from Leclerc... even with track evolution, his final lap wasn't even close to an improvement.

But they got through, that's what matters. Need to put it together for Q3.

A little disappointing but judging by the closeness of their times, probably got 100% out of the car. Good thing is, performance might be more competitive tomorrow.

Very good improvement in the car in quali, 0.1s behind is very close for a car that last race qualified 1s behind, they still have stuff to fix on a single lap, but this is a massive improvement and 6 cars in 0.2s. Happy with this.

charles was disappointed at the end, he has huge hunger to win here. but yea McLaren to quick.

Leclerc really struggled with the handling T1-2. He was much better than Sainz in S2 and S3, he lost everything at those 2 turns. Ouch.

Charles: “I don’t care. I’m pissed. The car is so --- --- in the slow speed.”

Great job by the team. Also this is the first race with the updates. Hopefully they can extract a tenth or 2 as they understand the updates more.

Baffling how this team every race weekend for last 3 years cant improve and adjust balance from fri to sat. This is crazy how car was understeery and out of balance

All positive. Charles was fuming at P4, Bryan said they were losing .180s in T1-2, seems like the slow speed is an issue. However, hopefully those laps on used Soft in FP3 point to strong tire performance for the race. Only worry is being bottled up by George in the first stint and not being able to fight with Mclaren (if the race pace is there).

A great result in fact, considering that the pains in qualifying were not corrected, and this year they will not be corrected.
The race pace was excellent, there is an option to fight for the victory, if of course Georges does not ruin everything.
